Analyzing operability of silicone dampers of torsional vibrations in marine internal combustion engines based on results of Testing Center Marine Technology Service

The article presents the analysis results of changes in operability silicone dampers torsional vibrations marine diesel engines on basis practical measurements carried out by Testing Center Marine Technology Service under Astrakhan State Technical University (TC MTS). TC MTS is accredited Russian classification society - Maritime Register Shipping (RMRS) field calculation and measurement vibrations. During its functioning (2001 – to date) has conducted torsiographing procedures machine-propulsion systems (MPS) more than 200 vessels. large amount data obtained makes it possible assess dynamics parameters vibrations, including amplitude frequency, according periodic ship MPS. A change technical condition vibration damper (a decrease efficiency operation) lack constant monitoring lead increasing stresses shaft line and, as a result, growing risk breakdown, which confirms urgency study.
